Hi there. I currently use a bulky Gateway 9300 laptop. It serves me pretty well but its too big for me. It has a huge 15" display. I always feel like people are spying on my work. Its also like 8 lbs with the battery. I dislike lugging it around. However the technology suits me fine. Its 500mhz, 256 RAM, 20gb hd. Its a good laptop but I think something smaller would suit me better.

I talked to someone reciently who owns a Casio Fiva (not the tablet one or the one with the mouse near the screen). Something like that would be my dream notebook. I've looked around but I cant find anything similar to the Fiva. Can anyone recommend a brand for me or model? This laptop would be used for laptop things (everything but gaming). I don't want a mobile desktop system. Can anyone help?

fujitsu p2100 series may be what you're looking for....

but basically every major computer manufacturer makes a small/sub notebook of some type. gateway and dell both have some sub 5lbs. notebooks, as does compaq/hp and sony. go to epionions.com to get ideas of what people think of a specific model.
