Good spices for rice?

Been practicing my rice skills but salt and olive oil alone isn't cutting it.

I'm heading to the supermarket later - what should I pick up to get my rice going?

Is it just a big bowl of rice, or are you adding any other veggies or protein to it?

Instead of water you can substitute jasmine tea, use chicken stock, toss in a bullion cube, ect to give it a little more flavor during cooking.

Leave your rice alone. Don't mess with it. Cook bunch of side dishes to go along with it. Beef dish, fish dish, couple different vegetable dishes, and a soup.

Cilantro and lime.
Saffron.
Bacon, I suppose technically not a seasoning, but still amazing.
Salt, pepper, and fry it in a little sesame oil.

Furikake!

Maybe you're just buying the wrong brand. Lipton and Uncle Ben make some really good flavored rice.

If you are worried about cooking it, just get rice crispies and eat it cold with milk.
