<< rant mode on: Bush really sounds and looks like the president of the 2. All I have seen these last two weeks of Al Gore, was acting like a pansy playing football, eating icecream, and other BS. Meanwhile my man G.W. has been preparing to take control of our nation and planning things out. He hasn't been half azzing around his house. Also, why does Loserman always have to speak in place of Gore? Can he not come out and speak or his he too distraught!? I'm so pissed off w/ Gore right now. AHHHHHHHHHHHH G.W. has kept a great job of keeping cool and he will be the president. If I was Al Gore and I wanted to steal the presidency, I would have made sure that I won. What kind of moron blantently tries to steal votes and then doesn't even come up with enough!!? He is just too funny. Thanks for hearing me out guys, I just had all this pent up in me >>

Bush wins again but Al Gore can still not accept defeat.
Bush is worthy of the presidency.

Those two posts are redundant, Crimson.:)

Bush does seem more "Presidential" than Al Gore. This is partially because of Gore's speeches in the past few weeks. Who actually thought he was fighting for our democracy and making sure every vote was counted? I almost burst out laughing when he said that "the real winner today is our democracy."

I'm still positive that Gore is the better man for the job, though.:)

I thought the speech was okay even though his eyes glazed over as he read from the prompter.

Bush has stayed on the high road vs. Bore showing how to behave like a spoiled brat.

I think the main reason all the lawyers are in Florida is the weather.

I wish W would get the hang of reading off the teleprompter a bit better. Or go back to the old fashion paper. It would make hime seem alittle smarter and less like a puppet.

yep, Bush is not a slick talker... but then there is no correlation between slick presentations & competence.

Time will tell if he will be able to function as an effective president.

Yea...he looks like a deer caught in headlights most of the time.:) He fumbled a few words, too.

The material was pretty good, though.

Dang if I don't agree with cxim. I think, however, that his chance to prove that should come again in four years when he can run again. He should not win this one.

Yes, President Bush seemed very Presidential! I agree his teleprompt speech needs some work yet but he is much more pleasent to listen to than either Gore or Leiberman. Haven't heard much of Cheney latley, but I do recall he is a good speaker from years past! IMHO Leiberman, did little or no good for their cause tonight, even one commentator said it sounded like he was making excuses. I am really suprised that Gore is going to attempt to speak to the nation Monday night! With his known personality and the way he sometimes comes across, it seems he could do more damage than good for his cause!

Even if he wins the election after this weeks suits, I'm sorry to say, he won't be President until January.....

<< That's a good thing for a President to look. All he needs to do now is be a good President. >>

Red - If you'd give him a CHANCE, I think he will surprise you.

Presidential? More like arrogant. His speeches are horrible, he speaks extremely slowly and keeps repeating terms like principles.. arghh!

No one seems to remember that Quayle wiped the floor with Gore in the 1988 VP debate.

It was pathetic.

Bush has kept a subdued undertone through this whole mess, which is more than I would have been able to muster. In other words, he showed the calm reservedness that a president needs. Gore on the other hand has shown his true colors as a foot stomping brat. "mine! mine mine! Slick Willy said I could keep the office after has was done disgracing it! It's mine I tell you! Lieberman, go tell them it's really ours, no matter what the votes are! Damnit, the people in New York and California all voted for us, therefore we have popular support!".

Red: Quayle DID whip Gore's ass. A REPUBLICAN said so. Since we are Democrats, our brains are faulty at best. It can't possibly be true that Gore won the popular vote, too.

I think we should stop talking about this election mess. Bush stole the election fair and square, and we should move on.

Let's start talking about how Bush is going to get impeached!

Maybe he was referring to the "high crimes" Clinton's attempted impeachment was all about. "Lying" about "sex".

But maybe Bush won't ever lie......

;)
