And you're a true audiophile? What about organ music?

Organ music. Too funny. Who here DOES listen to organ music? Raise your hands.
Raises hand. Me! Me! Over here! Anyway...
Between Z-5500s and the Klipsch 5.1 Ultras (or $500 HTIB), considering the Klipsch 5.1 Ultras now sell for $200, I would say the Klipsch 5.1 Ultras.

Where can I find these Ultras? I've done some serious searching for Klipsch but I've never come across this particual model.

Grab some logitech z-5500e's, or if your on a budget get the 5300's. There a serious bang for your buck, THX certified too! I can tell you the 5300 has some nice bass, and the highs are better then most i've heard. 5300 is only like $140 at the egg too.

Omfgxorz THX? Woah that is eeextreme.
To be serious, if you're on a budget steer clear of the 5300s, they have a pitiful subwoofer.

By pitiful I meant of poor sound quality. I have no argument against insufficient amounts of bass. I don't think it's possible to get a mainstream multimedia speaker system that doesn't have an excessively powerful subwoofer.

Well, excessive bass is what it's all about for me, bass is bass, but i doubt many people could tell the difference when you have it cranked up.

Deep bass is what you hear and feel, the long whuuuump. Excessive (upper bass) like the Logitechs (without the accompanying deep bass) is basically just what they call "one-note" bass because its so much louder than anything else. It's also the kind of bass that annoys your neighbors. I don't think you could annoy your neighbors with an SVS-PB12 Ultra/2 that goes deep below 20hz, with a 1KW amp than you as much as you could with say the Logitech Z-5500s, or any number of multimedia subs that sound like they have a +20db boost somewhere at 90hz, and are down around 80db at 40hz.
