Good sources for gun control research

I need facts, stats, that sort of thing. The FBI website is good for a limited amount, any where else?

I'm sick of the sites that just spew nonsense.

Update:

I'm looking for this statistic: How many violent crimes happen with an illegally owned firearm vs. how many violent crimes happen with a legally purchased firearm

I've been looking for many years.
Havent fond a good one.

Best you're going to get is to look at what both sides are spewing out and draw your own conclusions. Even government agencies conducting their own research and statistical analysis can be horribly slanted and biased.

I've had my conclusion for years, most of the time it stays in the drawer, sometimes the glovebox or under my shoulder. 😀

But I need good sources for my research paper.

You will probably do better if you look up specific cases, like the crime rates in various places after concealed carry is introduced and such. If you go to a central pool of information, odds are it was collected by someone with the intent of promoting their angle, whatever angle that might be.

This is what you need to do.

http://www.guncite.com/

Run by obviously pro Second Amendment folks, BUT they also dispell myths started by pro gun rights orgs (Like the phony Hitler quotes). Very factual and about as factually unbiased as you'll get. Anything they cite is backed up by valid references.
