Good Site to find cheapest airline tickets?

This winter vacation, starting 12/13, i would like to fly somewhere...anyone happen to know a good site that compares airline flight prices?

By the way, anyone know if Hawaii is cold during the winter? Where else is there that's nice to visit in the states(i'm from CA)? Any thoughtful suggestions would be nice...i'm not too excited about cold and snow .

its the winter, CA is way too hot these days.

what is there to do in vegas for 2 days and 3 nights besides gambling? i'm not very big on that...or would frisco be a better idea?

I got my Christmas ticket deal from Expedia.com
They offer pretty good rate.

I have pretty much given up on buying tickets through third party sites, I much prefer the convenience of buying directly from the airline.

My tickets for next month (Portland --> Chicago --> Washington DC) cost me $378 round trip, & I only bought them three weeks in advance. I was able to choose exactly what I wanted (times, type of plane, etc.).

Doesn't get much better than that.
