I have always found true the notion that the intelligent will always have employment in what ever field they are proficient in.. The key in this world is to be better at a craft than the next guy/girl or know the hiring person better than the next g/g. To save a buck by hiring the folks who will take less costs more than the buck you save... Adkins either can't cut it or is so depressed he needs to be on Prozac.. or should accept the intellectual level of his capacity and work at whatever that is... better to be the best at the least than best at nothing..
