Good SCSI CDR/W to buy?

I'm looking to buy a scsi cdrw, something fast but not expensive.

I've seen the Sanyo bp5 but it's $180. I'm looking for something a bit cheaper.. anything in the 16x - 24x+ range.. Can anyone make any recommendations?

There isnt a lot of choice in SCSI these days. Plextor has pretty much given up on SCSI, but their 12/10/32 SCSI model is still amoung the best out there. Most of the really fast ones have issues making them less than ideal. Unless you burn a whale of a lot, the 12X models will do you just fine.

Otherwise you may just want to go with an IDE drive.

IDE drive is faster as they go up to 40x, but if you're paying good $250, I'm sure you aren't paying for the speed and I'm guessing you're paying for the quality. Get a Plextor 12/10/32S if so. It's the best.

Hey, someone good hasn't given on SCSI yet, and that's Yamaha. The CRW3200SZ is the best SCSI drive you can get, why settle for 12x if you can get 24x?
