I need a good scanner and printer to scan photos to upload to my business's website, make fliers, etc.. and then print them. Willing to spend around 200-$300 for each. Whats a good size too? I dont know anything about scanners or printers. Also, whats a good, long lasting ink, laser printer. I print about a hundred pages of black and white documents a day, and inkjet is killing me on ink.

thanks a lot of the replies

Hello,

Everything is personal preference, but I'm partial to two brands for scanners and printers. Canon or Epson are my favorite printer makers with Canon being the best for ink cartridge replacement costs and Epson being the best service. My Epson inkjet stopped working but Epson UPSed me another one free of charge, even included the return labels. Therefore, I would check out either of those and see what kind of printer you need (bigger than 8.5, etc)

For scanners I would go with Microtek. I have a dedicated slide scanner (Microtek 4000 series) and it works like a charm! I'm thinking about picking up their new Scanmaker 6000 which now does 6400x3200 optical resolution and has USB 2.0 to boot! If you need a legal sized scanner then the X12USL might be for you. Both of them are under $300 which is nice :)

You can check them out at like Best Buy or Staples.

I prefer Epson scanners & Canon for a photo printer. If you're looking for a laser, Samsung is a solid choice.
