Good RSS aggregators

I have been using FeedReader as my primary rss aggregator for quite some time now. But it seems to me that the update proccess of this reader is quite slow.. i.e new entries to the feed are reflected quite late.(even if I click on update) And I am unable to add a few feeds to it. So could anyone tell me which is THE rss aggregator nowadays? I would really prefer one which can import OPML as I dont want to add all my feeds all over again.

googlin I found this but it seems quite old

Thunderbird does it pretty well which I find extremely handy if you use it as your main mail client as well. It's very quirky as far as getting it set up but once that's figured out it's smooth. I believe it imports/exports opml, but, like I said, it's messy to set up. I once exported and tried to import on a different machine but same version and it was so confusing that I just blew it all away and c&p'ed everything out of the opml and set it up manually.

I have been using Snarferwhich I like alot, but have just started using Opera 9 which does a great job of handling RSS feeds simply in a new tab. Opera 9 is the shiznit. Does it all, email, mouse gestures, voice activation, cool widgets etc.

I'm using bloglines. It's nice to have it web based so I can access the same setup from any of the half dozen machines I use.
