I'm shopping for a good, reliable RAID 1 card that only needs to provide 2 SATA ports, preferably 3gb/s ones... I need something that's going into a production MS Sm Biz Server box for about 10 users accessing the HDs simultaneously (but not for large files). I don't want anything cheap or affordable. Budget for this part is hopefully under $100. This is going to go into a PCI Slot or a PCIe slot... if necessary.

Thanks.

well if your dead set on not using your motherboard.. (which I would advise b/c you're only using 2 HD's.. ) essentially you're wasting your money w/ 2HD's it would be a different story if you were using a 4HD raid 5 setup. But your best Performing companies could be Highpoint, Adaptec, AMCC 3ware and LSI. Unfortunately for your price range you're gonna get the same performance vs. a motherboard so it doesn't matter what you choose. If you run a server w/ raid 5 though you wanna spend the $400 and get a Highpoint Rocketraid 3510 or Adaptec 5405. After 2 HD's the MB can't handle the transfer data and that's where the RAID cards shines.

$100 RAID card wouldn't get you any performance advantage over on-board RAID. Like djplayer says, a meaningfully fast RAID card starts around $400+.

I only have 2x SATA slots, and I need one of them for an OS drive. The RAID is going to function as a redundant storage array.
