I was wanting to get into the SLR game due to the fact that I love how quickly you can snap photos and of course the quality are the two main reasons. I owned a Pentax K100D with kit lens at one time and loved every second of it, but when doing more research on the SLR game I realized it was too expensive for my taste. I currently have a Sony T200 P&S that I can just stick in my pocket when applicable, but I want something that I can take good quality photos in low light so I am looking for more of an Advance P&S rather than an SLR.
Am I asking too much in finding an Advanced P&S thats close to the speed of a SLR? What do you all suggest? I have heard lots on the sony H9 I think it was, but just wanted to hear what you all would suggest before I do anymore digging. Any brand is fine, I am not a sony fanboy or anything, only reason I have the T200 is because I really love the touch screen.
I mainly take pictures of animals, family events, items selling on ebay, holiday photos, etc.. When I travel I do love scenery shots at parks and whatnot as well, but that has been few and far between since I have taken on fulltime school and fulltime work. Again, any suggestions to get me pointed in the right direction would be great, I want to test trial some at a local shop here pretty soon to see if I would be satisfied with one over a SLR.
