Check with your MB manufacturer -- they might have a monitoring program
Presently getting a loaner PC finished up, and MBM5 can't make sense out of the temp readings - it says that temps are either -1 or -71 for a Biostar M7VIW MB (KT-266A Via chipset). They have their own program called "Smartfan", but it is equally confused by the sensor readings. I've tried Speedfan, and its readings seem in line with the BIOS' own "Health" reports. I did need Blue Weasel's aid in finding where the checkoff box for choosing which temp is displayed in the tray was hidden in the configuration dialog boxes.
I wish Speedfan displayed two temperature the way MBM does. You only get one at a time. The way I heard it, the author of MBM5 got tired of adding new MB data to his program's database, so it now omits the newer ones that came out after about 6-7 months ago (this Biostar MB I'm using is a lot older than that, though). He was getting more data to add than help adding it.
