good pre-built?

With all the trouble I have been having with building my own computers and having to replace stuff, what is the best current place to buy a "gaming" laptop? Thanks.

EDIT: Make that a desktop. I like dell/alienware but I really don't want my pc bogged down with all sorts of useless software and I don't really want to spend 3-4k. Any ideas?

Dell + Dell Decrapifier + Newegg

Step 1: Order Dell PC.
Step 2: Run Dell Decrapifier.
Step 3: Order Video Card/Memory/Whatever You Want, Install Into Dell PC.

Im sure most people on these forums would be happy to build you a computer for a fee. Just post in the for sale forums. Anandtech just recently reviewed two prebuilders also on there main page.

I just cringe when I think of a prebuilt (HP, Dell, etc.) because of the less performing parts ya get. I cringe when you talk a prebuilt from anywhere else because the price is just up there.

Pre-built can be the way to go.

I bought a Dell XPS 410 in November from the Dell Outlet. It's a nice, quiet and cool-running Core 2 Duo system with MCE 2005 OS. $649. It's hard for a builder to beat that. A place like Puget doesn't really dip into the sub-$800 market.
