Good Power 350watt supply

Sorry to post another of these threads. I'm looking for a good 300-400 watt psu to power an x850xt, 3000 or 3200, one hdd, two optical drives, and 512mb of ram (althogh I'm eventually going to get a gig). I think that 350 watts should be plenty for this, but i would like a psu with a pci-e connector and a 24pin cable. Prefferably around $50, but I could spend more. Please don't recomend a psu that does not have a 24pin connector and pcie connector because then I'll need to pay another 20 bucks for cable adapters.

Fry's/Outpost.com had a Enermax for $50 last week, so it seems you are a bit late. This CM unit is what I would get for around $50. This review is of the model with active PFC, but the two should perform the same except in the power factor area.

Also try the hyperpower psu's. I know through work that they are in talks with Alienware at the moment so they must be good

PS: get at least a 480 watt psu

I really don't need that much power. Maybe if I was using two 6800 ultras and an fx-55, but 350 should be plently for this. The minumum for an x850xt is 300 watts.

a quality 380 W would power that with plenty of headroom. just look for the name brands and find one in your pricerange.

It's very quiet.. 120mm is the best choice for PSUs. 2x80mm is a stupid marketing thing. The Seasonic Tornado and S12 series use them(120mm) as well. As does the Antec Neopower.

420 watt Thermaltake. Great PSU, it's like 36 bucks and I strongly believe there is more amps then the listed 18A.

Actaully that's one of the items that you can future proof with. I bought a 350W Enermax about 3 years ago and I almost got a 450W. IF I had "future proofed", that 450W would be plenty for my new system, and still allow me lots of room to upgrade.
My 350W didn't go to waste though, as I just gave my old computer to my kids to use.

It has a molex dedicated for it.. so it needs an adapter, but you shouldn't have to buy one. Any GPU that needs one should come with the adapter. example

You are correct and its best to supply a feed from two different rails from the PSU.
