Hi ATOT,

I love podcasts in general and haven't seen any threads about them here. They make long drives and boring work days so much better. What are some that you all are listening to and enjoying? Let's get a podcast thread going here...

Thanks!

Bill Burr, Bill Simmons, and there was one that was very short but had several interesting facts and tidbits each day, and that's about it for me.

I'm a big fan of Stuff You Missed In History Class and Dan Carlin's two shows, Hardcore History and Common Sense (a libertarian-ish podcast about contemporary politics)

I loved History of Rome... it's now defunct, because the podcaster had a baby and, well... reached the end of the Roman Empire, but it's got hours and hours worth of back episodes to listen to.

I listen to -

This American Life
Wait Wait Don't Tell Me
Car Talk

These, plus:

The Moth - people telling interesting stories of things that happened to them, a little like This American Life but shorter and more raw
Science Friday - lots of interesting science topics
Planetary Radio - space stuff featuring weekly appearances by the director of the Planetary Society, Bill Nye
Star Talk - hosted by Neil DeGrasse Tyson, not my favorite because there's a bit too much "fluff" and not enough substance, but there are still good parts
a bunch of football/fantasy football related ones

The Thinking Atheist
The Skeptic's Guide to the Universe (Really interesting science topics, and funny)
The Alternet Radio Hour
Freakonomics
TED Talks: Audio

Gladly...it's a comedy podcast with a mix of things like free-form conversation, improvised sketch type comedy, music parodies, and also some good discussion on interesting topics. They do have pretty raw and edgy humor, so be warned, but check out a couple of the episodes and you'll get the idea.

Girl on Guy with Aisha Tyler, many different types of guests and hilarious.

All of these, especially History of Rome. I binge-listened last year and have stopped for now because I'm almost finished. 🙁

Listen to Joe ROgan get stoned and talk your ear off about dumb shit.

He's always funny when he starts talking about women or sexuality. He was talking about the creepiness of little girls wearing high heels in beauty contests because he claims the point of high heels is to make a woman's legs look longer so they wrap around his body better while he fucks them. Is that really what guys are thinking about? I thought it had something to do with forcing certain muscles to flex when standing or walking in heels.

Todd and Tyler Radio Empire.

If you have a good sense of humor, I'd recommend this podcast. They cover everything from Sports, current events, even trivia.
