Atlanta has the world of coke the 2nd largest aquarium in the world and shitty public transportation. CNN center. Me. Taco Mac (300 different beers). It's gotten better. Don't go anywhere else in GA though.

I'd second this. Atlanta is pretty cool, and the World of Coke was pretty awesome.

Also, I'd like to recommend good old Philadelphia. Sure, there are a few parts that suck, but overall it's a pretty cool place. You could:

- Cross the Delaware and take a tour of the Battleship New Jersey. It's pretty cool.
- Cross the Delaware and go see the Adventure (aka Camden) Aquarium
- Get a cheesesteak from Pat's and/or Tony Luke's. Stay away from Geno's, it's a tourist trap.
- Go see the new National Constitution Center.
- See the Liberty Bell
- Take a tour of Independence Hall
- Hang out in Rittenhouse Square
- Walk around Old City and hit up some of the bars
- Take a bike ride at Fairmount Park

EDIT: If you want to consider Philly, let me know and I can give you some good places to eat/shop/whatever.

Stay away from the South if you intend to rely on public transportation. New Orleans may be an exception though depending on where you stay.

Yeah i was gonna stay away from the red states (i believe thats the term for the wild southern states) I watched the episode of top gear where they drive across the south ... scary place.

Atlanta is pretty boring actually, I've been twice.

I am thinking about visiting the USA for a holiday, I would like to see Washington DC to visit all the museums and famous landmarks, or new york, I apparently went to universal studios when i was 4 but i cant remember much. The winchester house sounds interesting. LA sounds scary
Any other ideas?

LA sounds scary? There's EVERYTHING around LA. Las Vegas, ocean, lakes, multiple amusement parts, awesome night life, hookers, blow, geeky net cafe's, great food, many National Parks, LA pretty much has everything.

Seriously though, if I could go anywhere I wanted to in America I would go to, in order:

1) Yellowstone
2) Virgin Islands
3) The Grand Canyon
4) New York City
5) Hawaii
6) Alaska
7) New Orleans during Mardi Gras
8) Lake Tahoe
9) Glacier National Park
10) San Francisco

Then again I like mountains and food.

and if i remember right the episode of top gear had a lot of BS that was not true.

every time i been to the south the people have been nice. they just don't want you moving near them thats all! lol

Don't be afraid of the South. The stereotypes are pretty dumb and not at all accurate. The people are generally very friendly, and the food is superior. Every section of the country has its idiots, but we seem to be the only region that gets called out for it.

You really should stop by the Gulf Coast though.

Hell mate, hadn't you heard? The US is closed for business.

We have nothing to offer tourists at this time.

I just read part of the "Ketchup/tomato sauce" thread.

Stay home for your own good.

You come here calling Ketchup "tomato sauce," and some "ketchup aficionado" is likely to shove a bottle of Heinz "57 spices" ketchup up your catsup hole...😀

Besides, your $1.79 (AU) isn't gonna make much of a dent...😛

Depends what you're interested in. The national parks are unmatched anywhere. Rocky Mountain national park is amazing, as is the Grand Canyon.

i bet pictures doesnt do it justice... i will add that to my list

They don't at all. Seriously, the first time I went to the Grand Canyon it was hard to believe that something that big existed. It was so unbelievable it almost looked fake.

This is exactly how it feels. Truly, amazing, ridiculous. Grand Canyon gets my vote.
