Good places to buy a suit?

I have a bunch of weddings to go to this year and I need a new suit. However, there are two problems:

(1) My shoulder size is ~43 but my pant size is ~33x30 (waist x length). Most suit jackets with 43 in shoulders are too big in the waist and are too long for me, especially in the sleeves (even the "short" size is on the long end). The pants that come with them are even worse (way too long & wide), so I've been trying to find a matching jacket and pants separately.

(2) I don't want to spend a lot of money. I know I could get a suit tailored to fit me, but I refuse to spend > ~$160 on something I'll wear max ~3 times per year.

Any suggestions of a good store to go to? I'm in the Boston, MA area.

HI... I'M GEORGE ZIMMER - FOUNDER AND CEO OF THE MEN'S WEARHOUSE. LAST NIGHT I UNSHEATHED MY MUNGO MAN SPOUT FROM MY JEANS AND FLOPPED IT DOWN IN FRONT OF ASHLEE - HER SENILE DOWNSTAIRS NEIGHBOR TAPPED AT HER CEILING BECAUSE OF THE CLAMOR. SHE WAS BARELY ABLE TO NIBBLE AT MY PLUMP, PRODIGIOUS MEMBER BEFORE I GRABBED IT LIKE A LASSO AND SMACKED HER ACROSS THE FACE SO HARD SHE FLEW, SPINNING, ONTO THE BED BENT OVER - AWAITING THE ADMISSION OF MY THROBBING ACREAGE OF FLESH. SHE COULD ONLY TAKE 30 SECONDS OF HALF MY SCROTAL CAMEL BEFORE SHE FAINTED. I FINISHED UP AND BESTOWED A STUNNING LIKENESS OF THE POPE ON HER BACK IN BABY SPACKLE. I USED HER TOOTH BRUSH AS TOILET PAPER AND LEFT A QUARTER ON HER ASS. SHE CALLED ME FOUR TIMES TODAY.
I GUARANTEE IT.

I wear suits 4 x week and normally buy from dillards when they have 50% off suits 2 x year.. however, you're probably not going to find many at <= 160.

for that price, look at joseph a banks - they have suits on sale ALL THE TIME. however, I bought one of those cheap suits one time and hate it - the material is very coarse compared to my nicer suits.

JoS. A. Bank has a sale through Monday.

EDIT: probably a little out of your range, but you might find something

You can sometimes find really good suits at thrift shops. Then take it to a seamstress to make it fit properly.

That's what I've done. $20 for the suit, plus a few hours to look around for it.

Burlington Coat Factory has low cost suits. But I say get something tailored to you, not something cheap.

I approve of this message.

If you have time this weekend, you could try looking around a department store for suit separates. Maybe you can find something decent on sale for Labor Day.

I've had good look at Men's Wearhouse but I've never gone looking for anything under $200. You can get ok suits in the $200-300 range.

I picked up a JoS. A. Bank suit a couple months ago for like $400.. another $50 to get it fit from a tailor I regularly go to. Wanted to get a Brooks Brothers 1818.. but they dicked around with me so I went elsewhere.

I have no idea what you could pick up for $160.
