I recently posted a simple request for a read through on 1 page of writing. It wasn't asking ANYONE to "do the work for me".. and since some schmuck came on and said "Mods, when will the 'homework threads end', my post gets deleted.

Fine, if you call proofreading the work (I ALREADY DID).. cheating.. then take your comments elsewhere. I never said/asked:

1. Will you do the work for me?
2. Hi, I have an english assignment, how do I do it?
3. Um, whats a verb? ehhhawww
4. Here's a blank word document, type for me..

I had a completely finished 1 page reading, and it was deemed 'unfit' for an off-topic discussion and then deleted. So I ask you, does anyone know of a good forum where I could post a simple 1 page read where I could ask for simple corrections without getting shot down by the ingrates in this forum?

I would however: A tutor requires you to show up for regular meetings. No different than having an extra class on your table.

Currently I go to school full time, go to work full time, live in a band studio, + as figured I have a band. + Study time.

I have no time to another 'class'. I cannot just simply walk in at my own disclosure and ask for help.

Go find a pretty chick and ask her to do it for you. Icebreaker, you may just get hooked up.

My band (The only people I talk to) are: 1. Against school in all forms. 2. Hate college. 3. Graduated all below a C in High School.

I don't talk to anyone in school, the semesters already half over. I'm not social, don't want to be... . Just got school/band/work to worry about I guess. Too busy for friends... don't even get to go out and have fun anymore.. except band practices once a week.

if you goto rentacoder.com there are a number of proofreaders availible there that will be happy to review your paper for a fee (usually 5-$10 depending on length though too)

Quit the band = no social life period. Pretty much only social life I have is playing once a week for 2-3 hours. That's my only spare time.

Paying for a quick proof read.. double spaced.. 1 page.. when simply over the years simply posted a request on AT. Got a responce within an hour, and applied their suggestion(s) to my essay.. Bogus

Then ask a coworker? Next thing you're going to say is you're not allowed to talk at work, you're not allowed breaks at work, you don't want to talk at work, blah blah blah.

Sounds like you should check out rentacoder as posted earlier. Oh, and are you emo or just straight up antisocial?

-Straight up anti-social. Problem? Don't care. Shut up.

-I work alone. I work after all of the employee's leave. No one is in the office building when I am.

-I study alone. On 3/4 exams I got a 97% or better. Except I near failed a 'mock english exam.'. Since my instructor teaches to the test (In this case a panel of portfolio readers) I have nothing to learn. No grammer, sentence structure. In my 12+ years of education, I never understood it. No book/teacher helped me, I just flat out never 'got it'.

-Online forums are all I use, and see it as POINTLESS to spend money when I could do what I've done for YEARS at ATOT. Its just 1 friggen page of writing.

Surprized a mod hasn't deleted THIS... Complete bull.. Im sorry to say, If I can come here for over two years and post proofreading questions... FOR SUGGESTIONS, not ANSWERS.. then some jerkoff gets to rant about it and then has a mod lock my thread ... is just asinine

You really have your priorities straight. I hope you fail out of college. We need more fry-cooks that are struggling musicians.
