good pay mp3 sites/programs?

itunes doesn't work well for non-ipod players and is too expensive. any good alternatives? i don't really care if it's 100% legit, i.e. RIAA sanctioned. in fact, i would prefer to pay for mp3s but have that money go to an entrepreneur instead of the RIAA.

content is huge, just as big as apples store

useing the explorer dealie of theres i top out around 300k/s on the downloads, tags are all V2.1 IIRC so they are fine, i always retage them to the way i want anyway

you also have a large selection of compression options CBR or VBR 128-320, they will also do WMA, OGG, MPEG-4 (AAC) and MPC formats

Just a note about all ofmp3, make sure you download with the explorer, and not off the site. It's a bit tedious off the site.

yea its slow through the site, i use the site to brows and order ause the explore is crap for that IMO, i just upen it up when i need to DL stuff

Agreed, the selection and quality is fantastic. The site is often overloaded (for me, anyway) at times, but that usually clears an hour or so later.
