Good pair of headphones...

I'm looking for a good pair of headphones, $100 or less range.

Looking at a set of Sennheiser HD497's right now. $60 for the set, and they are supposed to be fairly good. However, is there a better deal out and about for <= $100?

Also, I'd like to look into buying a headphone amp. Any places I could grab info on what brands/makes/etc. are good and what is a good pricet, by any chance? A simple google doesn't return the information I want 😉.

Interesting.

But I see that that site doesn't have any reviews on the HD590's, and I just got a line on them at the high-end of my budget...gah.

And what about the HD515's?

Well, the HD590's won it out.

Picked up a pair for $130 - bit higher then my budget, but worth it from the reviews I've read.

Thanks for the advice, though, guys 🙂.

You said under $100 and that makes things tricky. IF you dig around on pricewatch, pricegrabber and eBay, you might be able to pick up the Bose TriPorts for that price. They retail for $150.
I know everyone thinks Bose charges too much for their stuff, but the headphones are a little better deal for the money. Especially if they are on sale.

Most people dont want to spend that kind of money, so they usually get marked down over time.

Shure e2x line is excellent. theyre 100$ a pair but theyre well worth it. they lasted me 6 months with an on the go life style and they have excellent sound quality.

I own the e2c's but i would like the e3c 🙂
