Just look at it as a test (a rather big test...) of your friendship.

If you want it to work out, it will.

Communication, as in any other relationship, will be key. Best of luck.

Its usually a bad idea.

But can be pretty fun also. My last year in college I had two of my bestfriends movin in and it was ok after we figured things out. As long as the friend realizes its not a continual sleepover and the apt needs its down time. If both parties come up with agreed upon rules set down early on then a lot of problems can be avoided. Getting your own food can prevent a lot of headaches and heartache. You can set communal items in the frigde that everyone shares (condomentes, bread, milk whatever). Bills should be split to at least 1 bill per person (you do phone/dsl, she does TVand electric) A dry erase board in the kitchen to keep track of bills and chores helps a lot. And setting days and times for Quite and party hours will take care of many misunderstanding. Set a rule about people staying over and for how long and who's responsible for them.

And then have fun

Generally a bad idea, particularly when those bfs come into the picture. Not only that, but no matter how great you get along, you'll find things that annoy the living hell out of each other. Like, for example, when one person likes to get up at 5am and bang cabinet doors and whatnot. Plus conflict about who gets to watch what on tv..

well i dont want her bf living with us.. i would go crazy. they are both WAY too loud and annoying together.

i dont watch tv though so shell use the tv ill use the computer :p

You're not even moved in yet and you've already got a conflict with her... ;) You see, even if he doesn't "live" there, he'll be there a lot.

Very, very bad. I lived with my best friend last year and really ended up resenting him. We're good friends now, though, since we no longer live together.

Edit: And I'm a dude...I can't imagine a couple catty ladies trying it. ;)

Lived with my best friend for a few years in a college. Didn't have a problem.
