Video Card- ATI Radeon 9800 XT
VideO Card Heatsink/Fan- Zalman Heatpipe or Stock
Hard Drive- Seagate 120GB 7200RPM SATA HD
CDRom- LiteOn 52x
RAM- Corsair XMS
Soundcard- Turtle Beach

That's the kind of stuff I'm thinking about getting. Should I change anything?
 
Sounds like you're interested in building a quiet system. Definitely go with the Zalman heatpipe cooler (or a VGA Silencer, which uses only a quiet, low-speed fan) for the video card. You'll also want to get quiet case fans, and a quiet PSU as well. Check out silentpcreview for way more information on these.

Also -- AMD64? If you've got the budget for a 9800XT, you can drop to a 9800Pro and an Athlon64 setup, which will almost certainly perform better overall.

Ditto. Dump the 9800XT and the Barton, and substitute a 9800pro and and Athlon64 3000+
