Good online chess education site?

for someone trying to learn the very basics of chess for the first time -- any good suggestions for a free, online site?

so far, I've found:
http://chess.about.com/library/blrules.htm

which seems alright, but the more info. I can find, the better -- just curious if anyone on here has undertaken this same task online.

TIA!

My recomendtation would be to go to yahoo.com (free) or chessclub.com (not free, but better) and just play a bunch of games. Once you've gotten knocked around enough times, you'll learn how not to.

Peace,
Will
