Good online aquarium supply webites?

Can anyone here recommend me an aquarium supply website, that perferably has a large selection of products.

Thanks for the link, however they dont have what I want, an older style Fluval internal filter. Why in the world did fluval make their new line of "plus" filters with a square outlet pipe. I need one to plumb to a sand fluidizer.

I have one of those Fluvals I use for quick clean-ups. There is a round outlet that sticks into the square part, so you could attach a hose. Why do you want one of those to power a fluidized bed? If you must have a pre-filter on your fluidized bed, why not just get a Maxi-jet powerhead, and run it will the foam pre-filter?

Its for corals that require very intense lighting.

As for filter, all you'll ever need is Aquaclear Power Filters with sponges. YOU DO NOT need 300x extra chemicals. Less technology more biology.

My favorites are

Premium Aquatics (just ordered a 250w MH ballast from them tonight)

Marine Depot

That Fish Place

Dr's Foster and Smith
Dr's Foster and Smith is another one I was going to link, even though I've never dealt with them personally. They have really good prices on heaters.. I wasn't sure if their line was comprehensive or not though.

Are you sure that MH ballast is for fish? 😉

LOL, I get sunglasses for the fish. 😀 The MH ballast is for corals, corals, and more corals! Ok, and maybe a clam. A rose bubble tip anemone wouldn't be bad either. I got an electronic MH ballast because the HUUUUUUUUMMMMMM from my magnetic ballast was driving me (and my wife) up the frigging wall.

Tabb:
I like the fluidized sand filters for fish-only salt, and freshwater tanks. If you're relying on sponge filters for all your biological filtration, you're going to run into problems. If you're using them for bio-filtration, they just get caked with detritus, and you can't really clean them much since you're depending on them for biological filtration. On fresh and fish-only salt (if I don't use live rock), I like sand filters, bio-wheels, or the old stand-by wet-dry. Put a pre-filter on those and clean it regularly.

petsolutions.com
bigalsonline.com
saltwaterfish.com
reeftopia.com

I think that petplace has the best prices on dry goods though.

that fish place has been around since before the intraweb, i used to order from them mail order

also pet warehouse is from the olden days

Between myself and my father, we have dumped a few thousand into Drs Foster Smith, Marine Depot, That Fish Place (That Pet Place) and Bigs Als over the last year and a half. All are really good, except Big Als will sometimes take an extra day or two to get a package out the door, while the others are almost always same day shippers. Big Als distributes from the East Coast, so forn people on that side of the country, the stuff will get to you pretty quick, even with a delay in shipping.

The aquarium goods market is nice in that there are a bunch of vendors that offer great prices and good service.

Everything I've ever ordered from Big Als takes for frigging ever to get to me, great prices though. Marine Depot is VERY quick on shipping if you are in California or close. But for the best combo of great prices, and quick shipping, Premium Aquatics is the place.
