It slays me that the military is so hard up for any breathing body that they'll let in 50 year old retarded overweight felons with emphazema, but they'd rather talk about a draft than let someone back in who scored in the highest percentile on the ASVABs, has a college degree, is in good physical shape, is already trained in the fields they need, rated among the fastest advancements in service history during their original enlistment but is either gay or spoke up with reservations about following obviously unlawful orders during their previous elistment.

They'd rather have brain dead sloths than anyone with the slightest inclination to judge right from wrong.

Clearly, the Admin somehow overlooked the fact that the all-volunteer military was specifically instituted to avoid Vietnam-type engagements. If they can't figure out how to get out of Iraq within the next few years, they'll have to bring back the draft...

Well, the average insurgency of the last century has taken 9 years, so the odds are not in the next guy's favor either. But we can't really just pull out or else all those supposed widespread, bad things we went in there to stop will actually become a reality.
