I think the McLobster was only regional in the north east. We sometimes get crabcakes here in MD. It's about what you'd expect. You could expect to pay $15 for a good crabcake, so a McDonalds version for a few $ is somewhat lacking, but for a few $, it's ok. You can use your imagination, and pretend it's better than it is :^D
Yea, crabmeat has gone WAY up in price, I work for a food wholesaler, jumbo lump is up to $35/pound, even clawmeat, (which I used to buy for crabcakes) has doubled in price.

I honestly don't mind them, usually get at least one a year.

Heck, I liked the formed pork patty that was in an MRE. Definitely needed to be heated up, and then it came with a BBQ sauce too. For field food that was a winning meal in my book lol

Did you use the McRib locator? , https://mcdfinder.com/#/ granted, this will show you where they are supposed to be sold, not if that particular one has them in stock, might be best to call ahead, they sell like wildfire once news hit's the street.
Nope, I already knew that this place had them (they were on the menu), they were just out. But I went back Friday and my mission was accomplished

So all formed pork product, (including sausage) is "nasty"?, I can see you playing Debbie Downer at any restaurant, I'd order you liver and onions just to watch you buckle and hurl.

"sausage" isn't a formed pork (or any meat) product.

There are many different types of sausages, and most use ground whole meat. Emulsified sausages are also pretty common, and this includes frankfurters and bologna. They actually are stuffed in real casings, traditionally.

It's not the same as whatever a McRib is, but I understand the confusion.

Well, although the McRib is a formed product, it is made from ground pork, sausage will typically use cheek meat, (it's cheap), since the seasoning will form a lot of the taste experience. All things said, the McRib is on the better side of formed product, many have fillers, (mostly soy protein) to drive up yield. When I worked at US foods we sold a shitload to the county jail, don't ever wind up in jail unless you have an iron GI tract, I saw what they ate, ugh.

I took my son to McDonalds after his karate class and saw McRib was back. I got 2 of em and they aren't as good as I remember them. Probably won't be getting them again this time around.
