Futurama
Into the Wild Green Yonder
Thu, Jun 24, 8:00p - 8:30p
047 COMEDY Leela teams up with an environmentally aware feminist group to save an asteroid filled with primitive life forms.

:awe:

I'm reserving my excitement for the actual airing of the episode. I love Futurama, have the first 4 seasons on DVD (and I don't have that large of a collection), but man, did the writing take a dive in the last season or so. My only hope is that the writing is closer to seasons 1-2 rather than carrying on the lower standard established in seasons 3-4...

futurama sucks. cant believe u guys watch it

It doesn't suck but I never understood the mega-lovefest for it. Bender's funny and Fry has his moments but that's about it. Prof. Farnsworth and Leela too I guess, the rest of the characters come across as awkward to me. The movies weren't all that good either.

IMO the love fest stems from the fact that it was canceled when there were 400,000 other shows on at the same time that were much worse that did not get canceled.

Maybe now the airwaves wont be quite as dominated by Seth Mcfarlane's crappy shows.
QFMFT.

I'm excited about the new seasons. Sure, it probably won't be as good as the first season, but you never know. I think that it is more likely to be a success than not though. It isn't like trying to revisit Babylon 5 for that fifth season. 😛

That's not a new episode.

Bender's Big Score
The Beast with a Billion Backs
Bender's Game
and
Into The Wild Green Yonder

were the Futurama movies done in 2008-09 and split into half-hour pieces for TV. The first few new episodes of season 6 are titled "Rebirth" and "In-A-Gadda-Da-Leela" and will supposedly take place right after the events of Into the Wild Green Yonder.

I watch it because I don't know of anything better. Dr. Zoidberg and Hermes get on my nerves almost 100% of the time. They need to be written out of the show immediately.

Agreed. Family Guy was great until Seth realized he could make millions my making two spinoffs. It was bad enough with just American Dad going, but now with The Cleavland Show, they all just suck.

I'm hoping this will be on Hulu or Comedy Central's website streaming 'cuz CC is part of extended cable and I only have basic 🙁.
