I got the camera I bought off of Ebay today. It got here FAST, and it was a killer deal. $172. for a camera that I still see selling on line for over $900. places (high end)!

Bad news, the damn battery/ memory card door will NOT open. And it looks as though the battery is bad (doesn't seem to want to hold a charge. 🙁

I Emailed the seller and told him it arrived, I also asked him how to open the battery door, maybe there's some "trick" no mentioned on ANY of the sites I find about this camera.

Did the seller have good feedback, and an actual picture of the item (not just a stock photo)?

In hind sight, I think it was a picture he stole off some other site. (No stickers on THIS camera like in the Pic.)

Other than the door not opening, it looks to be in GOOD shape....
 
maybe you should post the camera brand / model so we can look it up for you online as well 🙂

if everything else works with the camera, then you can always get a new battery 🙂
 
yikes, i wouldn't buy something that expensive from someone with 5 feedbacks

best of luck, perhaps you can contact ebay and get them to help if the seller is a weasel
 
well, other than leaving negitive feedback and attemping to get him banned from ebay if he doesnt try and help out i dont think there is too much you could do.

how is that 3.3 mp camera $900 on market? :Q damn. i guess the carl zeiss lens makes some difference 😕

Now I feel silly.

I figured out how to get the door open finally. 😱


And the second time I tried charging the battery, it seemed to take the charge.


So I guess it's good news / Good News. 🙂


I'm happy, the camera seems to work very well, takes NICE Macro shots as well.

Now I just need to get used to what all the bells and whistles on it do.

Was trying to find the owners manual through Sony, but no luck so far, though the camera review site had pretty good info. (except how they said the door opens....)

No it's the real deal, just used. But it doesn't seem in the least bit banged up or abused.

I finally SCORE.

Been looking for a good affordable camera since some lowlife stole mine a year or so ago.

Maybe I'll treat the ATOT community to a mug shot of my handsome self soon! 😉

I know your all DIEING to see what a hunk I am ( well, maybe just the WOMEN! 😛 )
