MMORPGs, or small scale RPGs?

For MMOs, EQ2 and WoW are the two big MMOs right now, though I feel EQ2 is the better game.

For small scale, Neverwinter Nights is the only one that comes to mind right now. Its a little old, but the massive number of user modules give you countless hours of replay value.

Ahh, sorry. I wasn't clear-enough. I meant small scale RPGs. I don't really consider MMORPGs to be RPGs, in the standard sense. They're really their own genre at this point.

Neverwinter Nights is great fun in multi. Diablo II lasts forever if you're in to hack and slash,, and Dungeon Siege to a lesser extent.

Never Winter Nights, Baldur's Gate II (If you can get a group of people together), & Dungeon Seige are my personal favorites.

ya it's been a while since good small scale multiplayer rpgs have been released - Sacred is the last one i can recall. Very much Diablo 2 style

Dungeon Lords may or may not be coming in within the next few months...

MMGarbageRPG's have destroyed the traditional (and superior) RPG genre. It's unfortunate really.
