Going on a long trip to visit grandma. I need a new movie for my son to watch during the drive. Any suggestions?

We already have a bunch but I'm sure a good one can be weeded out. I'm essentuially hoping that some here with 5 year old boys can tell me what their kids are into right now.

Thanks!

EDIT: Off the top of my head, we have Up, Cars, Polar Express and Wall-E. Two of those are big names so I can tell you that we have them and that he likes them.

I was hoping to get movie ideas for 5 year olds, not movie ideas by 5 year olds.

Thanks Pantslegz for an acutally valid answer.
My sons loves Cars but has seen it many many times. Cars 2 comes out this summer I think. I can't wait to take my son to see it.

lol at the madness suggestions above :D

What kind of shows he usually watch on TV? My 5 y/o loves Phineas and Ferb, and I admit sometimes I got a kick of watching it with him too ^_^

dude there's millions. Anything Pixar. Anything Disney. Anything made by Nickelodeon.... the list goes on and on. Picking out movies that kids will like is about the easiest thing in the world: animated? funny sidekick? run-time 90mins?

Has he seen Toy Story and Toy Story 2? Those are old movies but just released again.

Also: Hayao Miyazaki films.

Not sure if your kid would like those movies, but I think I would have when I was 5 (I grew up on Disney).

Classic cartoons. You can download a bunch off the web, and he most likely hasn't seen any of them.

Blood Diamond
Fight Club
Schindler's List
English Patient

Any of the Faces of Death movies should be fine

Greast. This thread doubles as a discussion on movies for a 5 year old and as a discussion on movies for a bachelor party.

My 4 year old son loves Tom and Jerry, Scooby-Doo, and Spongebob for T.V. shows.

Also Toy Story, Ice Age, Monsters Inc., The Incredibles, and the Alvin and the Chipmunks movies.
