Not sure where we said round up all the wests Muslims. Seems to me we were going on about state versus state. You seem to let emotion dictate your thoughts too much Aimster, try not to push this topic where it was never going to go in the first place. As far as I can see Westernized muslims are not the issue. Maybe I am wrong though?

I don't see why not, the Christians are sitting around with the wests muslims as the ME ones aim to wipe us out. Or are you saying Muslims are more barbaric? You have said before that the Wests Muslims are just as disgusted by the actions of the ME muslims as the Christians are, if so they shouldn't mind dealing with the issue. Seems Westernized Muslims have pretty much comformed to Western Style apathy. So yes, they will just sit there, unless you are wrong when you say West and ME muslims are different.
As well, it won't be another "crusade" as I said before it will be a state versus state issue. Sure the unerlying reason might be religion to some, but overall it is dealing with a ideologie that is threatening to ours.
As well the emotion I am talking about is you taking a state versus state war, to absolute genocide on a world theatre. Little bit of a jump there.

The point still is that a million Iraqi lives would not have been lost in vain if it were not for blind American aggression towards a country that posed no threat to it. I'm not even gonna waste any more time talking to you if you even suggest Iraq was behind 9/11 somehow.
And the argument that America's a scapegoat for no other reason but its exemplary way of life is nothing but a smokescreen. "They hate our freedom, our values and our heritage!" It's a knee-jerk response that distracts from the real causes that breed ill-feeling in the hearts of people towards the U.S. If they really hate America's freedoms, why did they wait so long to attack? They've been around longer than America's been "free"? Why did they come all the way across the Atlantic to attack? They could've found easier targets much closer to home in Europe. They're just as "free" as the U.S. if not more. It's a baseless, oft-rejected argument that holds no sway when subject to reason.
The fact of the matter is that if it were not for America's interventionist policies and blatant double standards in the Middle East and elsewhere around the world in the last 50 years, the world would be a lot safer. Europe learned its lesson after the two WW's but for the U.S. came a little late to the game and wants to play it out, ignoring lessons from history. You don't need to look further for proof of this assertion than PNAC. The U.S. has supported dictators all around the world whenever it has been suitable for it, despite the wishes of the overwhelming majority of the peoples of those nations and to their detriment.
1) CBS/NYT poll (Sep. 2002): 21% Americans place "a lot of blame" on "US policies in the Middle East over the years, 54% place "some blame" on these policies.
2) Pew Research Center Survey (Aug. 2002): 53% Americans said that the attacks of September 11 were "mostly because" of the "political beliefs" of the terrorists; only 25 percent believed that the terrorists were motivated by "religious beliefs."
3) Los Angeles Times poll (Sep. 2002): 58% Americans think that the attacks were "a direct result of United States' policy in the Middle East."
4) European Union Poll (Oct. 2003): 53% of EU citizens think the U.S. is the second greatest threat to world peace. Guess who tops the list? It starts with Isr..
All these polls are not too long after 9/11 when anti-Islam/anti-Arab sentiment was at its peak. Even then, the polls strongly refute the war mongers' argument of "they attacked us because they hate the way we are."
There was a big ruckus from the war monger neocons over the recent Russia/Georgia conflict. I could hardly keep a straight face over self-righteous condemnations of Russia over violating the sovereignty of other nations and pre-emptive war. Can one be any more ignorant! Have they already forgotten the Iraq war? If one has an iota of decency and humanity, he would die in shame making such comments but only people completely devoid of it can make such statements with audacity.
Frankly, I think If you hate all Arabs, Muslims, you should just say it out right instead of beating around the bush with such lame and hollow arguments.
"Nuke them from orbit" or "turn them to glass" are much better responses. It will save you a lot of time.

4. "Threat to world peace". Riiiiiiight. So why hasn't a single European nation intervened in Darfur? Let alone the rest of Africa that they are largely responsible for fucking up. Most lack the resources, those that don't lack the will. Europe is largely concerned with European peace, not world peace.
5. The US has been the cornerstone of almost every successful UN military operation. It doesn't have to be, but no one else it willing to do it.

I see no problem with the actions of Muslims in the Middle East (except for one nation)
Turkey has 70 million people. What are they doing that is so twisted and barbaric? They are a NATO nation.
Egypt has 80 million people. What are they doing? The only thing they've done is attack Israel. They lost and made peace.
I see no problem with any Muslim nation in the M.E except for Saudi Arabia.
Saudi Arabia is the disease of the M.E. They should be nuked. Invading them would solve nothing. The people are twisted with their ideology.

Turkey and Egypt are fine on the whole.
It's Iran, Saudi Arabia, Syria, and Lebanon that I have problems with.
As for the ME as a whole, I think most of us Westerners have a warped perception of other countries due to our freedoms. With a few exceptions, most ME countries do not represent the will of the people. Their systems of government are simply not designed to do so. It doesn't happen.
ie: From what I know the Saudi Arabian people are almost as messed up as their government, but the mainstream Iranian population is not as anti-American as the average Westerner might think.
However, it is a fact that many citizens in all countries of the middle easy support, if tacitly, the terrorists. Check the polls coming out of Kuwait, who's ass we saved just under 20 years ago. Many of them see Al-Quaeda as freedom fighters.
Or you care enough about extremism where you can't decide for yourself anymore, good perspective can slowly be eaten away by wrongful influences.
Then again, what is "good?" To feel good, or to feel the opposites of the bad that's existed in one's life?
If every member here posted a poem with every single post, how would you view other forums where members do not normally reply to threads with added poems?
