Well at least you didn't have your 5 year old come up this morning to your bedroom as your putting together a client's computer and have him say.......

Him: "Daddy, you fix and upgwarde me computer so I can pway Starcrap agin?"

Me: "Not right now, Daddy's putting together a computer for a friend"

Him: (Yelling at the top of his voice, and my wife soundly asleep) "DADDY, YOU STOP AND FIX MY COMPUTER FIRSS!!!! MOMMY TELL DADDY HE MEAN!"

Wife: "You're mean! Fix his computer then build Dan's. AND DO IT NOW SO I CAN GO BACK TO SLEEP! "

Me: "I'm upgrading Storm's computer, not fixing it. I need a new hs/fan for his his computer and the shop doesn't open for a couple more hours."

Wife: (mumbling now) "Four !@#$!# computers in this house and I have to listen to a child bitch because his father disassembled a few without having all the new parts. All to upgrade him from a 1.2ghz computer to a 16 something something. And don't you dare let him on my computer! Last time you two got on my computer you tried to overclock it and fix what didn't need fixing! Go downstairs. Sunday morning and I have to have a family that is up by 8:00am."



I need to renovate the wood workshop in the garage to a computer workshop. Or I need a new family!
baffled, my son's now demanding "Peaut budder toast and Buzz Witeyear cerel" Can you help him so that I can get readdy to go to the computer store and wait in front of the door until they open to get a new hs/fan?

I feel your pain, my family used to biacth and ask why I even bothered putting covers on computer cases, lol at one point when asked what she wanted to name a new rig I built her,my daughter, without missing a beat promptly replied "For Sale" as the second/third systems in the house never lasted long before some client played the price is right and scooped em up 😀

Sigh....And now that you are up that means my Baffled2 shift is on.....😛

Man, it's a beautiful day outside here in Indiana. Sunny, windy. It's 69°. I think I'll wake the roomate up when I get off and we'll go hiking.

Could be warmer and more humid though... 🙂

Hey, thanks for the advice man. I'm just trying to get my life back on track. I messed up every opportunity that I've had (Free ride at MIT, USAFA, job at Progeny Debian). Maybe it's life's way of making me appreciate that which I have worked for...

It might sound stupid, but I'd like to be the next Heisenburg or Plank. :shrug:

 
My wife doesn't allow me on her computer any more. She now is trained to wake up out of a deep sleep when she hears her computer booting up and tells me to get off her computer! Storm, the 5yr old, came to me the otherday with a blank cd......

"Daddy, back up me computer, NOW"
Why?
"Cuz I need to save all my fiwules befo you sell my hard dwive again."
I wouldn't do that without telling you
"Yes you would! Daddy, I had 5 diffrnt computers dat I had to load all my games on agin. And I only 5!"

I proceeded to back up all of his files on a CDR

Here it comes.....wait for it....wait for it...2000 posts 🙂 I thought I'd do it in a positive thread(something you can count on Baffled for) Anyways, Do you coffee drinkers slum it with crappy coffee or take it seriously? I get mine Here order 40$ worth and they even ship it free! Look at the prices and you'll find no better deal. It's terrific coffee too, I'm drinking the organic right now and I buy whole bean cause it stays fresher that way 😉

coffee slumming ? bite your tongue man, I've got a burr grinder,blade grinder commerical Bunn coffee maker and a couple of different French presses 😀


Btw, what's your favorite bean from this place,maybe I'll give them a try

Cafe du Monde. $5 for a pound of coffee. For those who don't know, Cafe du Monde is a great place in New Orleans (pronounced N'awlins, by the way). It's a cafe with some great coffee and beignets. Coffee with chickory is the only way to go.

I knew you were my kind gal 😉 Anyways, I like the dark roast the best but drink mostly organic(very mild) because coffee is one of the most heavily pesticide sprayed crops. I visit the plantation every time I go down to surf. They process it right there and ship it only to order, so it's very fresh 😉 Of course the decafe is processed in Germany, the caffeine is sold to cola makers and then it's returned.
 
I've been there! Cafe' Du Monde that is. At 3 A.M. they are your best friend 🙂 They make great hot cocoa too!

Can you recommend some good coffee equipment? How much would it cost? This thread has got me craving some, and since I've had some bad experiences with tea and coke lately, I guess coffee is the next logical step....

You know who used to have really good whole beans was mothernature.com. I know a new outfit bought them and they were back online doing business but they hadn't brought the coffee back
yet. They also had GREAT chocolate !! 🙂
