good mobo to oc a64 w/ lock?

I got an asus k8v deluxe se from newegg, but the onboard ethernet doesn't work at all, and i realized that with my sata drive, i'm not going to be able to OC hardly at all unless i've got a pci lock (got it up to about 225 before windows corrupted itself on my sata drive)

so, i figure i'll RMA my current board since it's broken anyhow and get a board better for overclocking, preferrably from newegg (since i'm RMAing back to them) but i guess that isn't absolutely necessary. So, I need a recommendation for a good ocing board, but it needs to be something available on newegg. i'm fine with something up to around $150 or so, but don't need all THAT much built in ... 10/100 lan, sata, and firewire support is about all i'm looking for, and the firewire isnt really necessary since there's a port on my audigy2.

the only nf3-250 board newegg seems to have is the chaintech, which i seem to recall reading didnt support lowering of the multiplier? if anyone can refute that (preferrably on the $99 model..), that would be great.

if not .. i need to figure out which other board (i'm assuming an nforce for the pci lock..) i should get. i also believe i read that the Shuttle AN50R, which sounded otherwise perfect, only had a working agp and not pci lock, which is still no good for my hard drive. i could deal with a software OC if necessary to adjust the pci/agp to where they should be, but that seems more likely to mess things up and i'd prefer something that has a real working lock.

My AN50R does 240mhz with the LTD@2.5x with a raptor on the SI3112 and deathstar on IDE1 no problem. While the pci isn't locked evidently it does seem to have a range of speed it won't exceed. Shim says it can cause problems on his TV tuner card but those are pretty sensitive, most card would be fine I should think.

That being said I would wait for more nF3 250 and the new K8T800pro boards to hit the shelves if you can hold out a little longer. IF it's a buy now situation I think th AN50R fits the bill nicely.

How long do you think that'll be? I have a bit of time .. but basically only somewhere around 2-3 weeks where I'll be able to RMA my board. I guess I could always just return my current board and wait a bit to get the new one, but I'm not a huge fan of leaving all these wonderful components sitting around not doing anything 😉

Which reminds me, I purchased a seperate SATA controller because I can actually benefit from the high pci clocks when I overclock. The card supports up to 66mhz PCI and after doing benchmarks, my harddrive read speed jumped from ~65mbps to ~78mpbs by clocking the fsb to 240mhz.

For audigy sound cards, they are able to handle up to 55mhz
