Good Mobo for AMD, DDR and SDram Support?

Hey yall. Currently I have a Duron 800mhz on a FIC AZ11. Time for me to Upgrade. And if I get a new Mobo I am going to run a Athlon XP. But kind of looking for a board that will support DDR (for the XP CPU when I get it) and SD (For my Duron, untill I can afford the XP and new Ram). And if there are Mobo's like this are they any good? Outdated? etc....

Also, if there are any good mobo's that support both. What would be a bomb-diggity Mobo, but for a good price. If there are any that is, lol. As in, like the Geforce 4 4200 64meg card right is a awesome card for the price. So somthing along those lines. Really good Mobo, for little price🙂

Alright, thanks all.

Yep ECS is the brandname. There are a few KT266 based boards around that support both but no particular board makers come to mind right now.

Just understand that the latency of the KT266 chipset is pale in comparison to newer ones like the KT266A. You're better off buying a Shuttle MK20N board with the KLE133 chipset; it has integrated 10/100 NIC, AC97 sound, and Trident video. Its main drawback is that it has no AGP port, but it also supports Athlon XPs up to XP2100+. It retails for paultry $60-$70, plenty cheap for you to save up enough to go full-blown KT333 or KT400 in the next jump. That way you can keep the Duron for a Team Anandtech crack rack when you jump to the XP. 🙂

another vote for K7S5A, worked great for the 2 months I used it. Gotta have a top quality Power supply (Antec, Sparkle, Enermax, Enlight are the top 4 IMHO)if you are going to be running high speed Athlons (1.2GHz and above). If you would like any more advice, dont hesistate to give me a yell on the email or IM.
