Ya I ended up with the Lenovo in part on an impulse buy. The price is good enough. Definitley slower than my previous i5 based laptop but not horribly so. Apps just seem to load a bit slower. In app experiences are still good.

The Lenovo has much better screen hinges than the other laptops I was looking at. That probably included Asus. Other brands had ALOT of flex of hte base part when you moved the screen around. To the point that I was amazed that these things didn't break in internal tests.

The downside to the Asus is the keyboard. It's amazing how flexy the thing is as a type. Any key press results in that area of the keyboard sinking about 1 mm. The deflection is easily visible when typing.

6 GB for my needs seem to be plenty.

Regarding A10 vs i3 vs i5. i5 is clearly the best. I have no real way to compare an i3 vs A10 though. Also, I'm sure hard drive speed is also a factor in load times. I'm wondering if extra money toward a better hard drive is more important than the i3 vs A10 decision.
