Good lord! Have you seen monarch's prices on 6800s?

I understand supply and demand and all that good stuff, but come on, this is asinine! When they first started listing the ultras, they were $499. I thought it was nice to see them selling them at MSRP and not gouging like others. Then later that night, they went right to $580! I just checked this evening, and now they're asking $625!

Do people really want the card so badly that they're willing to pay that much for it?
 
An interesting contrast can be found on Pricewatch. Not one vendor is selling the X800XT for MSRP even.
Must just be a coincidence?

our vendor has the ultras priced at $555 to S575.

when i and 3 other people where i work got our bfg 6800 GT's tuesday they cost us $336, today they raised the price to $403!

i am glad i have mine already! 🙂

BTW these prices are from wholesalers
