Good Linux mags?

Im looking for a good linux mag to subscribe to. The three that I know of off the top of my head are Maximum Linux, Linux Magazine, and Linux Journal, and Ive heard that Maximum Linux is no more.

Any suggestions?

Yes sadly Mximum Linux went away, but my favorite right now is Linnux Journal, Its a little more detailed and meaty than Linux Mag IMHO

But I like it better

I get both Linux Journ and Linus Magazine...

Linux Journal is my favoriate, I have been a subscriber since issue #3 in 1994... which I found at borders in Boston while on a business trip...and I subscribed that month. Still have them all too..


..but I can't just get one or the other.... so I suggest get them both.. 🙂

Welp, Ive gotten more suggestions for Linux Journal, so Ill grab that one. Its the cheaper of the two subscription wise anyway 🙂

Anyone here heard of Linux Format? Its a british linux mag, just wondering how good it was.

Well, i'm subscribed to Linux Journal, but unfortunately it isn't technical enough id you'd ask me...

I'm subscribed to LJ, but I must admit that I get a lot of stuff from online places. (i.e. lwn, linux today, /., etc)

There are a couple (few?) Magazines from Europe, though I don't know if it's possible to get them in the US.

I have 2 year linux journal and one year linux magazine. I really like linux magazine much better. They hire well known writers and I love their layout of the magazine compared to LJ. I'm not gonna renew my LJ sub but will my Linuxmagizine one though. You can view linuxmagazine.com articles 2 months after they've been published online.

I guess Ill give the free Linux Journal a try, and if I dont like them, then Ill try Linux Mag.
