Netflix? For DVD box rentals? That's hardly a way to watch them as soon as they're aired.

I just called my ISP, they were all busy and will be returning my call. I'm curious which company made the original complaint.

I'm at home on a cable business connection. I received a phone call on Friday that they want to "talk to me about sharing copyrighted material" and "wanted to help me take measures to fix the problem" since I am on a business connection. It didn't sound like I got infamous RIAA letter or fined. I haven't called them yet. I kept away from anything but TV shows for that reason although TV shows aren't exactly legal either.
I didn't know cbs.com had any TV shows posted there like abc.com does. I checked in the past and they didn't and assumed they still didn't. I might start working on a DVR box or something for the rest.

Has the OP given a reason on why Torrents are out the the question yet? Honestly, what's the big deal?

I talked to my ISP. Basically they said a company complained about me sharing copyrighted material. They wouldn't tell me who it was and basically told me to cut the bit torrent stuff altogether and they used the term "bit torrent". If I get caught again I lose my service with them and that is not an option. They also knew what client I was using to so that didn't improve my situation any.
