Do you need a lock back, or just a locking system of some sort on this knife? What enviroment will he be using this in?

I'm a fan of Smith and Wesson's line of SWAT knives.

I've had 2 and I've gotten a couple for friends who love them.

Yeah, that was an MT halo. Those are a bit out of his price range, though.

Pretty much anything from MT is out of his range, unless he buys it abused, because even a used Socom Elite Mini runs over $75 shipped.

Thanks for the replies, As for the locking deal, I just don't want to give them a shealth knife. I was looking for something they could carry in their pocket and costs less than 75 dollars. I'll check out the brands you guys listed. Any good online stores? Thanks again.

But in all seriousness, it's the last knife you'll ever need, unless you're looking for some pussy pocket knife.

It sure is....

Kershaw is a nice brand for a "decent knife". And this dealer has always been very good for me, though most of his stock is out of your price range.

I have a Kershaw Leek. It's a nice knife, the opening mechanism is awesome. It doesn't lock open, but I don't think I'd use that feature if it did.
