I'm scared by the amount of people who want to get Vista right away. Cannot guarantee everything works with it right from the start.

Stupidest thing about Vista - no exchange admin tools work with it. Ditto for SQL 2005.
Great job releasing a new OS Macro$hit, your two most widely used server applications cant be administered natively from it.

If you have critical apps it's probably worth checking compatibility before rolling out Vista. I'm surprised they don't work but would guess there must be valid reasons.
Does anyone (Stash!) know when SP1 is expected? I've not seen any formal announcement yet.

In the meantime, RDP works fine.

Wow, I don't get some of you. How is running the entire Exchange and SQL servers in VPC's a better solution than just Remote Desktoping to them?

Instead of whining about it, you could actually do something useful like I did (since you're in a mad rush to be an early adopter)...
Step 1 - https://connect.microsoft.com/programdetails.aspx?ProgramDetailsID=874">Obtain the latest Virtual PC 2007 Release Candidate (it's free afterall)</a>
Step 2 - Install said Virtual PC 2007 RC
Step 3 - Create a brand spanking new VM using VPC
Step 4 - Install (gasp!) Windows XP or Server 2003 of your choice
Step 5 - Install your admin tools withing the Virtual XP environment
Step 6 - Administer your Exchange Box happily without worrying about what Vista does
Though this thread COULD have been avoided with some simple google action which yields things like this.

Who rolls out a 1 day old OS in a production enviornment anyways?
A more accurate date is second half of 2007. And yes, I realize that June/July falls under that category...Originally posted by: spherrod

You're assuming a lot about this 'mistake'If the problem had been found during, say...August, it would have been fixed prior to release. The problem is the QA testing did not have test cases to cover the products (at least not until the very end of the dev cycle).
