uhh why don't you just ask her, straight up?

It's going to be much more devastatingly humiliating if she rejects you after all that effort. Plus, if she says yes, it won't be because of the flowers.

Yeah a little over the top... I took a skinny chick my first year of prom and she turned out being a total bitch (I was singing to a song but the speakers were so damn loud I'm sure she couldn't of heard me...) so yeah, she took and slapped me while covering my mouth.. I didn't talk to her or dance with her the rest of the night (just had a good time)...

Last year I went with a shorter chunkier girl (she's cool though) and we took like a kickass Ford Mach1 or something like that... damn what a sweet ass car... that was worth it and prom went great.

I don't know what she'll say to you, but you probably went over the top, I mean it's cool you have balls, but still, not a good idea due to the chances of being rejected...
 
man you folks crying overkill must not be remembering the people who wrote "will you go to prom with me" on their chests and standing up on the table at lunchtime, and crap.

but regardless, this definitely sounds like one of life's modern dilemmas.

What?!? Totally disagree. Life is about risks and that's what makes it worth living. Moments like those will last a lifetime, especially if she accepts.
 
Well, OP got a reality check. Life isn't like the movies. Don't get your hopes up with "I'll think about it" either. Not to rub salt in your wounds, but didn't you say that she went with a complete loser to another dance? Even if she eventually says yes, how does she see you?

p.s. "I'll think about it" means that you're in a holding pattern until the guy she really wants to go with asks/doesn't ask her.
 
Well you got the balls to do that, so you at least deserve to go with her. If she eventually says no, go with one of her friends because you will at least get to dance with her at some point.
