Anyway, you'll either score BIG or you'll be the most famous reject on earth (and you won't have to worry about finding a date, they'll find YOU)

So, Monday... Prom tickets go on sale, and the time is dwindling down to find a date. So today, I brainstormed, and finally found enough courage to decide to ask her. I bought five pink-tipped yellow roses ($30 @ 1-800-FLOWERS) and I am leaving one on her desk, every period. Then when fifth period rolls around, I'm gonna be waiting in her seat, and when she walks in, I'm handing her the fifth one, and asking her... wish me luck. And yes, thought of it all by myself.

That would scare the HELL out of most girls I know. Just ask her!!

Errrr... what kind of high school did you go to? This kind of stuff is done routinely at mine for the big dances. Hell, last year for our Sadie Hawkins this is how one of my friends got asked.

We have six classes, but being up on credits, I was able to have five classes my senior year... actually had enough to have four classes, but my counselor suggested that I take 5 in case I fail one of my classes. Like I'm really gonna fail Jewelry or Filmaking or Service... and if I fail an academic class, I can't graduate anyway. Gave in... sure glad that I have five classes now... her being in my 5th period. :)

Ohh, and definately will report back tomorrow at around 2:00PM PST.

For real bro, girls SAY they like what they see in movies, but they really don't. Honestly you would be better off just catching up to her after class and making it reallly casual. Props for getting the courage, thats half the battle!

Unfortunately, we don't have 5 periods. We have 4.

We have 4 as well. 4 90 minute periods.

Last year my friend had this done to him and he didn't find out til 4th who it was.

Good luck OP.

wait wait wait, so you're telling me that every time a dance rolls around 10 out of 20 desks in the room are covered in flowers??? For people that aren't attached? I've seen something similar a few times when I was in HS, but every time it was a bf asking his gf, and he basically has to find someway to differentiate himself...

Well, went with a friend and delivered all but one to her classes early in the morning... left them with the teachers. She seemed so happy and was excited all day from what I hear from her classmates in other periods. She had no idea who it was... then when fifth rolled around, I told her she was missing one, she smiled and told me she had no idea who it was. She was happy, but told me she had to think about it. So, I do have my doubts, but it didn't look like a bad thing. Glad to at least make her day if all doesn't go well in the end.

Sorry it may not have worked out but at least you had the balls to try it. Hopefully it will have a happy ending. :)

So you did it and she said she "has to think about it'?

I don't know how a girl can go from "really excited" to "thinking about it".

Well done! That takes guts in HS. Even if she says "no", you've detoxed away a bit of teenage embarrassment. :)

Good luck, dude.
