Good HS/F for AthlonXP? Thermaltake 6 Cu+ HS/F - anyone have it?

It sports a 7000 RPM fan and pushes 38CFM and is supposedly rated for AMD Athlon up to 1.9Ghz... Its at newegg right now for $13 + 6 s/h.... I looked at that Alpha everyone likes but the $50 price tag blew me away... gotta get something else for that Athlon XP 1700 or 1800 I'm ordering...

It is a decent hs&fan that what I have heard is not for overclocking, the clip designs on the volcanos is some of the worse i have seen but for only 13 bucks you can't complain to much.
Here is a list of heatsinks and performance.

I would suggest you use the Thermaltake Dragon Orb 3. I used a Volcano once and like Theslowone said the clips are horrible for a copper HSF. They only grab 2 cleats thus increasing the chance to actually break the socket on your MB with all of the extra weight of the copper.

The 3 reasons I liked the Dragon Orb 3 over the Volcano 6Cu

1. Has much better mounting clips
2. Has the copper base
3. Just looks cool 😀

I have a AthlonXP 1800+ running under a Thermaltake Dragon Orb 3 with the 4900 rpm fan on it (there is a 7000rpm fan option also) and my processor hovers at 123 fully loaded. I opted for the 4900 rpm fan for less noise... and it works great! Oh yeah, I am using Arctic Silver II as well.

Go to Thermaltake and do some comparing.
