I really enjoy climbing volcanoes. I've done Mt Baker, Mt Adams, and Mt Garibaldi so far. I'm aiming to do Shasta and Rainier next. Baker is somewhat technical (you need to rope up etc), but Adams isn't. It's a long slog up a hill, but the view is epic.

Yes! Volcanoes have great views up top. Me and a couple of friends did Shasta, Hood, and Adams earlier this year. We were set-up for Rainier in August but an injury sidelined my friend (1/3rd of the rope team). We're looking into doing more challenging routes up Shasta and maybe something other than the DC route up Rainier next year.

Isle Royale is on my list as well.

I think it will be Glacier -> Isle Royale

Me too ... and we are planning on bringing our two huskies, as they love to hike with us 🙂.

We definitely don't mind hiking 15-20 miles a day wit a day pack, and 10-15 with our actual packs.

Dogs not allowed in most national parks.

Isle royale is the same no dogs, at one point they did allow them but it almost wiped out the entire wolf population.

Lake superior hiking trail is state run so it's okay.....

Just a friendly and sad update 🙁 otherwise our dog would have joined us.

So this is where all the cool Minnesotans hang out... :awe:

(I have nothing to add to the topic)

Cool pics posted though. I suppose instead of being jealous, I should get off my ass and start hiking.
