Good hardrive?

Your mb can be connected to to 4 PATA drives and 4 SATA drives. Right now people are transitioning to SATA drives although they are bit more expensive. If you are on a budget, PATA drives are quite cheap, for example outpost.com has a WD 160 GB 8mb cache for 90$ with a 50$ MIR, and it is a retail kit so I guess (pl check) 3yr warr. Zipzoomfly.com has Seagate 80GB SATA drive for 68$ shipped - Seagate usually has a 5 yr warranty, WD SATA drives even cheaper. Right now I would say 160GB drives have the best price.

In my experience all HDs will eventually fail - no one brand has proven to be consistently more reliable than the other - however it is my feeling that in reliability Seagate>WD/Samsung>Maxtor/Hitachi
