Good free to play games that run well on a dual core?

Just built up this rig with a G1820 and a GT 740 GDDR5 gpu for my wife, more or less wanting to slap on some games that run well on a dual core but outside of Bioshock 1,COD WAW,CSGO and WOT my library has run dry of titles that like dual cores.

I noticed the games that run well on a dual core fly on this thing,so i figured why not find free free to play games to occupy her and me when we use this thing.I intend on dropping a i3 in here in a while and then my entire library but BC2/BF3/BF4 and GTA V will land on here.

You guys got any good suggestions for free to play games that run well on a dual core? 🙂

Pretty much every blizzard game is designed for dual cores. I know they aren't all free, but they should run adequately on that system.

trackmania / tm nations forever if you can get hold of the demo.

TrackMania Stadium demo is pretty alright.

Not exactly surprised there isn't a storm of suggestions,we have moved on from dual core i guess some time ago but i figured just maybe a few rare gems could be found.

Guess luckily i played Bioshock 1 start to finish on this with nothing outside of a few hitches occasionally and WOT and CSGO play damn well.I doubt anything better or as new is going to be as enjoyable.🙂

Loads of fun games run well on dual cores. It's finding "good" and "free to play" in the same sentence that's the real challenge... 😀

Install Steam and look for free games. They're not all MMO's.

Exactly,so far i have found MMO's to be the one type of game that usually has a lower system requirement then anything else. She likes Wizard 101 but its her first MMO.She tried Runescape and found it just like i did a bit to complicated to enjoy fully.

Non MMO would be a plus but the search has been meh so far.

Luckily WOT and Wizard 101 keep her and me playing enough,i was just hoping to find something else on the side.

Minecraft will run like a dream on there, and I suspect she'd really enjoy it.

Anyone confirm if a prev-gen Sims will run well? I suspect Sims3 would.

If you are looking for a FPS, then I recommend Loadout, much more fun than Team Fortress 2. Reminds me more of Unreal Tournament, although I haven't played Loadout in a while, so not sure how active it still is.

Had some fun with it but support for pc apparently is over,no recent updates in over a year with them focusing on the PS4 version.Kind of sucks considering how much fun it was.

Sims 4 should run decently well. It runs reasonably well (at lower settings) on my GF's AMD A6 Beema, and that is a glorified netbook chip too.

Your PC specs is very similar in performance to mine. You can play a lot of good stuff like Far Cry 3,Tomb Raider 2013,Assassin's Creed 3,4,Rogue, GTA V(yes gta 5 runs fine), Sleeping Dogs, etc. If you are only looking for f2p mmorpgs then WildStar, Neverwinter, RIFT, etc will work well on your PC.

Star Trek Online is fun and you don't need to grind anything unless you want to do advanced endgame raids. There are 3 sets of leveling up story missions for the Federation, Klingon and Romulan factions before the 3 merge together into shared missions.
