Good free email services?

I'm now receiving email from yesterday.I just sent an email to myself an hour ago and havent received it yetThis is not working.Does anyone know of any free email services that will allow you to use outlook ?So basically not web-based....ones that will give you their pop serverAnyone?

mail.com and some others will let you use POP if you pay

Well, if you use pop, you don't have to go to their website, so you don't see their ads.

Makes sense to me.
