Good Fan Controllers

Hello, I want to get a good fan controller that can adjust the RPM for fans like the Vantec Tornado. I want it to be good looking as well as very functional.

Best I've used is the newer Sunbeam rhoebus. It has 4 channels that can take up to 20v each. Bad thing is it only has 3 pin connectors so unless you have all 3 pin fans, 4-3 pin adapters will be needed. Found them here. But the black wires have to be reversed.

Does Radio Shack carry such adapters?

I got a tailed version of the sunbeam rheo from Xoxide. Unfortunately, it appears they are OOS. They also sent me the wrong color a few days later than they said they would, but the black worked out better IMO anyways. You might be able to find the tailed version at one of the other cooling/mod sites, but you really can't beat the value of the $20 3-pin versions from SVC as Blade mentioned. If you have 2 x 5 1/4'' available, you could even get 2 of them and control your cold cathodes etc.

Yeah I just bought one from SVC but they are out of the adapters at the moment. I may just solder on my own tails to make it easy
and keep the cost down.

What do you mean 2x5.25" ? 2 bays for 2 controllers?

BTW OT but this is my second order from SVC and they shipped my order in less than an hour! They did the same thing last time I ordered from them.
They are cheap and fast as heck!

I have a Vantec Nexus fan controller working 24/7 since the beginning of January. Until now it gave me no problems, but some people have reported them so I guess I am one of the lucky ones.....

Does Radio Shack carry such adapters?

I don't believe they do. At least the ones near me don't. You can make them if you have the parts.
