I had mono when I was a 15. Kept me out for almost a month. Just throw a really bad case of strep throat together with a really really bad case of the flu and you got mono. I got it in January. It was so bad, to sleep at night I had one of the floor fans that turn blowing on me to keep me cool.

im guessing this is higher education? just say you were having personal problems.. but mono works well.. so does Scarlettina. I had scarlettina the same month my sister came down with mono. we were both out from 2-4 weeks.

Say you had SARS. It lasts 10 days, but you can take 14 days just to be safe. If they want proof, say you heard about the Canadian Med Student that got sick from SARS 12 days after he came into contact with a SARS patient.

How about strep throat? I was out of school for almost 2 weeks in high school.

In fact, since I haven't gone to class at all this week, I feel something coming on right now...
